Thyrotropin TRH,Previous work from our laboratory prompted us to study the effects of short-term, acute administration of TRH or its chronic oral administration, on organs, tissues and aging-related metabolic and hormonal markers, in order to acquire more knowledge on effects, dosage and timing of administration according to its circadian cyclicity.

Thyrotropin TRH,In addition, we wanted to verify its anti-aging effects on two most fundamental functions, namely gonadal- reproductive and kidney-urinary. The results demonstrate that both a short-term, acute or a chronic, long-term oral administration of TRH to old, aging mice, results into positive changes and rapid correction to more juvenile levels of most typical aging-related hormonal and metabolic alterations.

How to use?

For Serum or Plasma specimen:
Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 1 drop of serum or plasma (approximately 25 mL) to the specimen well thenadd 1 drop of buffer (approximately 40 mL), and start the timer. See illustration below.

For Venipuncture Whole Blood specimen:
Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 2 drops of whole blood (approximately 50 mL) to the specimen well, then add 1 drop of buffer (approximately 40 mL), and start the timer. See illustration below.

For Fingerstick Whole Blood specimen:
To use a capillary tube: Fill the capillary tube and transfer approximately 50mL of fingerstick whole blood specimen to the specimen area of test cassette, then add 1 drop of buffer (approximately 40 mL) and start the timer. See illustration below.

To use hanging drops:
Allow 2 hanging drops of fingerstick whole blood specimen (approximately 50 mL) to fall into the specimen area of test cassette, then add 1 drop of buffer (approximately 40 mL) and start the timer.
